Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A forklift, also called a counterbalance, lifts loads as heavy as 30,000 pounds. Despite being large and sturdy, these industrial machines still bear the potential chance of accident or crash. To be able to be very safe, be sure to have operators put on the correct seat belt inside the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are also on board. People know that in the event of an accident, seat belts can save lives.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts could extend across the upper body and over the lap. These kinds of belts offer an extra degree of safety by protecting your body. They are available in both bucket-seat and bench-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable kinds.
Retractable seat belts are commonly utilized in most modern vehicles on the market. Although non-retractable kinds increase safety, retractable styles offer more comfort. It is impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
The type of seat belt which only extends over the lower part of the body is a two-point lap belt. Most lap belts feature a push-button closure system and are non-retractable. In order to secure the seat belt, simply press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the kind that force forklift operators to put on a seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band styles.
