End Control Forklifts
The stand-up end control forklift is an extremely flexible machine and is popular in the material handling business. These equipment have great performance characteristics which are quite like sit-down electric lift truck units.
Ideally, these forklift truck models are suitable for warehousing operation atmospheres which have limited space. Their working aisle requirements are often less than those required of a three-wheel electric forklift truck. These machines are an excellent alternative for applications which require frequent on and off access, as their stand-up design is an exceptional feature.
The reach truck is a loading device used by a variety of companies that maintain a storage facility that involves the arrangement of finished products on pallets and materials which are stored or stacked into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck offers safe and simple retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also a great choice for those who prefer to store pallets of goods they do not require yet in a way that is efficient and safe.
The standard reach truck model is outfitted with an out-rigging mechanism situated on the front of the truck. A set of telescoping tines that move up and down are mounted to the out-rigging. The forks also include a hydraulic system which enables the operator to pick up the load and move it over the out-riggers. This particular design not just gives more balance to the overall load, but makes it easier for the reach truck to maneuver into narrow aisles between the storage shelves.
Once the selected shelf has been identified, the hydraulic blades swing into action and lower the pallet into the shelving unit, helping to slide the load into place. Normally, a reach truck would easily fit into an aisle that is less than 10 feet across without problems, so long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
