Since the year 1967, Taylor Machine Works has built, designed and marketed empty container handlers. The "Big Red" line of empty handlers reflects the knowledge and experience gained in those years. The Taylor empty handlers are called the "All American" models because they are engineered and manufactured in the USA. Taylor is consistently on the cutting edge of industrial technology. The company strives to maintain their commitment of designing and building the most reliable, best and most productive container handling machines around, anywhere in the globe.
The company's empty container handlers are equipped with a wide range of masts and attachments so as to better suit your specific needs. The following is a list of units with their basic mast and attachment.
The TECDS-150H Attachment expands to be able to top pick 20 feet throughout 53 feet empty reefer containers and empty ISO standard containers. Any containers measuring over 40 feet need to have standard 40 feet ISO pickup points. The attachment has electrical signal lights inside the cab, 4 corner twist-locks, 2 work lights and hydraulic slewing.
Able to handle 2 separate 20 foot or 40 foot empty ISO standard containers at the same time is the ELME attachment. It allows for many containers to be stacked on top of each other. Furthermore, this kind of attachment is available with 4 horizontal twist-locks that insert into the side apertures of the upper containers bottom corner castings and the lower container's top corner castings. The highly specialized design of the twist-locks allows block stacking to be carried out.

Each unit of the Taylor container lift trucks utilizes a Tier Compliant Cummins electronic turbocharged, charged air after-cooled or charged air to air diesel engine. Several of the standard engine features comprise diagnostic monitor and electronic maintenance, transmission/engine protection, improved fuel economy, less overall emissions and water/fuel separator. In addition, the transmission available used for all 3 models is a fully reversing, 3-speed, power-shift, non-modulated transmission. It is offered complete with remote shift control and inching capacity.
These specific models have been designed specially to work in extreme climate in the roughest environments around the world. These models can function with ease through deep snow, rough terrain and thick mud. Having the ability to rely on a dependable machinery when you are working in the middle of nowhere and in lousy weather is definitely an essential investment for your company.
