Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic forklifts offer height and versatility. These units are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the person utilizing it to raise the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the load towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is designed to hoist employees is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
