Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a a range of horizontal reach that is much greater. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, which goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This particular model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs which were inaccessible by traditional jibs before. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows up and over reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system that allows for valuable time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing productivity and effectiveness.
